The new chairman of trade union waiting for a response

In December, in the closed stock company “Statiniu prieziura” trade union organization was established. They elected Sergejus Konstantinovas as a chairman and the organization joined the Lithuanian service workers trade union.

The chairman said that all workers joined trade union because of the owners inappropriate conduct with workers.

"Two times salaries were reduced, then threats began, and so we decided that we need to defend ourselves" - says Mr. Konstantinovas. According to him, the leadership of the union made a formal notification in writing, but so far no reaction from the owners. "We do not even know whether they received our letter or not."

The chairman couldn’t say what will be the first steps of organization work. "We do not have specific plans. Will see what is the reaction of the administration, and then decide how we continue to work, "- says Mr. Konstantinovas. He believes that in approximately two weeks future’s vision will be clearer.
