The new library chairman has left a good impression

On October 7 the meeting of Martynas Mažvydas National Library trade union committee and the new library director Renaldas Gudauskas and the board representatives took place. The strategy of cooperation was discussed: library restructuring process, the brginning of bargaining for collective agreement, creation of better working conditions and more transparent payment system matters.According to LPSDPS Chairman Aleksandras Posochovas both sides showed positive sights during the meeting. "We expect good development," - he said after the meeting. The former head without the consultations with trade unions made decision on wage bonuses by himself. R. Gudauskas promised that average salaries for all positions will be made public on the intranet.
It was agreed in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture to seek better working conditions and higher wages.
