“Statoil” should not change work policy towards employees

Statoil” company stands on the threshold of great changes. The parent company in Norway intends to sell retail and trade-related activities and remain only with oil-producing business.

In Oslo Stock Exchange “Statoil” petrol stations network shares will also be sold. How many exactly will be clear on 17 March, but company’s representatives say that the staff salaries, social guarantees at least for the first 3-5 years should not be changed.


Currently extensive consultation is undergoing in all countries where there is “Statoil” petrol station networks.

On February 24 the meeting took place of “Statoil” HR Department head, UAB "Lietuva Statoil” personnel director, chairman of trade union, and Statoil European Works Council member. The views were exchanged, concerns over the future of the workers.

"The representative from Norway calmed us that for a few years the situation should not be changed, for all the changes will be consulted with representatives of trade unions" - after the meeting said UAB “Lietuva Statoil” trade union chairman Aleksandras Posochovas.

After the shareholders will make the decision, on 19 March in Lithuania once again planned a similar meeting, where long term perspective will be discussed.
