According to LPSDPS press release, Sportsmen trade union idea to organize a 2010 Football Cup arises trying to show that a man who has purpose and willingness to act can do a lot. With the competition we want to show how sport unites inspires optimism. In this Football tournament, in addition to Sportsmen trade union teams will participate professionals and those football players, coaches who completed their professional career. These include, for example, Vetra team coach, former boxer who participated in Olympics, and others. At the beginning of competition draw ceremony will be held, attended by one representative from each team. 4 sub-groups will be made of 4 teams each. The main Cup competition promoters and organizers - Sportsmen trade union (SPS) committee members: Yuri Kravčuk, Aleksandr Čulanov, Viktor Viktorovič, Igor Kolesov. They call not to fall into winter laziness and to arrive on 6 February, at 15.30 to the universal arena Sportima (Ąžuolyno St. 5, Vilnius, Lithuania) to participate in the Cup competitions or to route for friends teams. It is already discussed with the teens with disadvantaged background facilities regarding joint training and competitions. Summer events to be organized through Lithuania in order to attract disadvantaged children to participate. However, this does not mean that we do not do our trade union work. According to LPSDPS chairman, appeal was made to the international football federation regarding some athletes, whom salaries by the contract were not paid.
