Another G4S Lithuania case won2009-11-20 Recently we wrote that LPSDPS won two cases for one security company G4S Lithuania employee. Earlier this month, in 2nd Vilnius district court another case is won for two of the same company workers to be returned to work, compensation wages and other employment-related benefits.This case is closely monitored also internationally. The largest security company in the world "G4S", which is represented by companies on all continents has concluded a collective agreement with the international trade union organization UNI. One of the returned to work is company's trade union This court ruling is likely to be contested in higher court just for "time stretching". Meanwhile, since January Mr. Voronovičius does not work and is registered at the employment office. The November 2 court order enables him to return to work and to receive from 29 January full payment compensation of average wages for forced absenteeism, but if the employer appeal against this order, he will have to wait again, probably another half a year for Mr. Voronovičius co-worker, another plaintiff in the same case, refused to return to work at "G4S Lithuania", he awarded only pay for the forced absenteeism and termination benefits. Whether and when this amount will be paid it depends on the defendant's actions. |
