In the supermarket chain Norfa establishment of trade union met with opposition from administration, active members after some time in pressure leave the company. Trade union was founded in Kaunas before Christmas a year ago. It doesn’t exist anymore. Shopsteward of the organization left under Administration pressure. Currently, only Andrius Bitaitis shopsteward of Joniškis town organization fights the administration. He has long been receiving only minimum wage and is subject to various sanctions.

According to LPSDPS chairman, such companies should not be granted of the European Social Funds.

Just recently it was announced that "Maxima" and "Norfa” participate in the project, to take care for children of employees of supermarkets. They will set up additional groups in kindergartens, where they are able to take care of children in the evenings and at weekends, when their parents work. A. Posochovas said that given the reputation of these companies, it is difficult to deny that this measure will become ordinary workers blackmail: if they join the union - their children cannot attend kindergarten.

It is intended to apply to the European Commission that in distribution of EU assistance workers' representatives would participate in it. This is possible: on 23 of November A. Posochovas as an international trade union organization UNI representative will attend the tripartite meeting in Brussels, which will be considering actions of one of the Slovenian company, which has interfered in the activities of trade unions, it is worth to several million euros of EU aid.

However, Lithuania has also a good example. Chairman of LPSDPS praised supermarket chain “Rimi Lithuania ", which has finalized collective bargaining, and soon it to be signed. Social dialogue in gasoline stations chain “Statoil Lithuania" has a long tradition; there is a fourth collective agreement signed.
